Spreading Joy to Families
Our Christmas Families initiative brings holiday cheer by providing useful gifts, essential items and hope during the holidays. This special tradition is made possible through the generosity of our compassionate employees who donate every pay period toward GCU's Christmas Families Fund. Other methods of fundraising like bake sales and yard sales are also used through the year to help support for our efforts.
For this past year of 2025, we challenged ourselves to nearly double our yearly fundraiser goal. We ended up beating this new goal by over $300.00! The hard work truly pays off when we get the opportunity to help our familes and communities thrive.
Over 30+ volunteers (including Santa & The Grinch) helped make everything possible, including; coordinating events, shopping, wrapping, fundraising, cooking, decorating & much more!
Across the 7 different counties and 7 branch locations across northern New Mexico, Guadalupe Credit Union was able to help 32 total familes. This includes 12 seniors, 20 familes, and 45 kids total! We believe in being more than banking, and that's why we treat our membership like family by making a lasting difference in the lives of those who need it most.
