GCU Emergency Relief Efforts

At GCU, we share your deep concern about the impact that the fires are having in our communities.

Member Aid:

Guadalupe Credit Union is here to give a helping hand to Norther New Mexican families that have been impacted by these horrific wildfires. We have programs and options to assist members in this time of need. This includes: emergency relief loans, the option to skip payments for existing loans with GCU, and free financial coaching sessions. Please reach out to us if you or someone you know is in need of any of these services.

Branch Service Status:

All of our branches, including our Las Vegas and Mora branches, are currently open. GCU will continue to monitor the Forest Service to ensure the safety of members and staff, and will continue to provide updates.

Donation Efforts:

GCU is collecting items and donation funds to be delivered to the distribution & evacuation sites. Our open branches have donation barrels from The Food Depot, so that this way members of the community and GCU members can continue to drop-off items in need such as:

Non-Perishable Food
Hygiene/Essential Items
Paper/Laundry Goods
Sunscreen/Lip Balms
Monetary donations

Federal Funding:

Federal funding will be available to people in Colfax, Lincoln, Mora, San Miguel and Valencia counties. People who live in those counties and are impacted by fire, can apply for grants for temporary housing and home repairs. Business owners can also apply for help. You can start applying Thursday, May 5, 2022, at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA(3362) or 1-800-462-7585 (TTY) for the hearing and speech impaired. The phone numbers will be answered from 7am to 10pm Mountain Time, seven days a week.
