Branch Lobbies Reopening, Welcome Back! - 2/25/2021

Dear GCU Member,

We are pleased to announce that GCU is reopening its branch lobbies for in-person member service. Welcome back!

Guadalupe Credit Union remains committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all employees, members, and visitors.

To help protect you, your family and GCU employees from exposure to COVID-19, we are limiting the number of individuals allowed in a branch, in accordance with the Governor’s Executive Orders. This may cause wait times, and we appreciate your patience. We are also requiring that our employees and members wear a face covering while in the branch. Other precautions we have taken for your safety include the use of sanitizer, gloves, acrylic dividers, signage, floor markings for social distancing and regularly scheduled cleaning and disinfecting of our facilities.

GCU's Recent Service Issues - 12/3/2020

Dear GCU Member,

I would like to personally apologize for any issues you may have experienced with phone service and/or long wait times at our drive-ups. The credit union has been understaffed during the past few weeks due to unprecedented COVID-19 cases and quarantine requirements. Dear GCU Member,

GCU's top priority is ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of its staff and members while carrying out its mission. Due to the evolving nature of the pandemic in our state, and to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, effective Monday, November 9th, GCU lobbies will be closed to walk-in traffic.

We encourage members to continue using our electronic channels, and you can contact us to schedule an appointment for in-lobby services if needed. We will continue to offer service in our drive-ups in Santa Fe and Espa?ñola, walk-up window service in Taos, Mora & Raton, and we check our night drop throughout the day.

We will continue to monitor the pandemic’s developments and provide updated information on our plans to resume pre-COVID in-lobby services. If you need to visit one of our branches, please call us at 505-982-8942 or 800-540-5382 to set up an appointment.  

Rest assured, we have contactless services available for your convenience. If you need a loan, you can now apply for a loan online! You can also talk to our staff during business hours via Live Chat by visiting our website. We are pleased to announce that GCU lobbies are now open, welcome back!

To help protect you, your family and GCU staff members from exposure to COVID-19, we are following some common safety precautions. We conduct screenings before allowing entry into our lobbies. We are limiting the number of individuals allowed in a branch at the same time, and we are also requiring that our employees and members wear a face covering while inside the branch. Other precautions we have taken for your safety include the use of sanitizer, gloves, acrylic shields, signage, floor markings for social distancing and regularly scheduled cleaning and disinfecting of our facilities.

For your convenience, we provide new drive-up transaction slips at our drive-thrus, online banking, mobile banking, our 24-hour audio response by calling 505-216-1398, Live Chat at our website, our CU Anytime ATM network, and other service channels to conveniently meet your service needs.

Emergency Assistance and Lobby Info

5/15/2020

Dear GCU Member,

In response to the Governor Lujan-Grisham’s announcement of May 13th, GCU will begin an incremental reopening of our lobbies. This reopening will occur in phases, so what does this mean for our members?

Services in our lobbies will be available again to members in a limited capacity on Monday, May 18th. The lobbies have been reconfigured to allow for social distancing, including the marks on the floor we have all become familiar with in recent weeks. We will only allow a predetermined amount of members in the office at any time, which varies depending on the size of each of our branches. Employees in direct contact with members will be required to wear face masks and all employees will be required to do a health evaluation at the beginning of their shift.

If your finances have been impacted by the Coronavirus, GCU is here for you! We are offering Emergency Relief Loans to members that have suffered a loss of income due to COVID-19. We are also offering Skip Payments on all type of loans, including credit cards, mobile home loans and mortgages. Our branches are offering loans and free Financial Coaching services at all of our locations.

We encourage members to continue to use other channels and only come into the lobby if absolutely necessary. We will continue to offer service in our drive-ups (Santa Fe and Espa?ñola), walk-up window service (Taos, Mora & Raton), contactless service to members who are not comfortable coming into the office, and we will continue to check our night drop throughout the day. In addition, we still have electronic services like Online Banking, Mobile Banking, Bill Pay, CU24 (24-hour Audio Response System) at 800-468-8223, CU Anytime ATMs, our Call Center, and remain fully staffed to answer phone calls.

As we proceed through the phases, we will gradually allow more people into the lobbies. We are cautiously hopeful that we are returning to normal. We miss our members – a lot! That being said, we are smiling and looking forward to seeing some of you in person again.

Updated Drive-Up Hours - Limited Lobby Access

Dear GCU Member,

Guadalupe Credit Union branches with drive-up services will start opening again on Saturdays from 9am-1pm. This change will be effective as of this Saturday, April 11, 2020.

Because we care about our members and our employees, we will provide lobby services by appointment only, and full service at our drive-ups at most of our branch locations. This change is effective Monday, March 23, until social distancing is no longer being recommended.
